Inference activity and model interactions are explicitly excluded from logging. The API supports filtering by time range, user, or API key, and organizations running both Claude Platform and Claude API can consolidate audit feeds under a single parent org. Enterprise buyers in finance, healthcare, and legal have been asking for exactly this kind of native audit trail. OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic are all racing to check the same compliance boxes that unlock large regulated-sector contracts, and programmatic log access is table stakes for procurement teams at that level.
