Claude Gets Computer Control and Cross-Device Dispatch

claude.com | ksl | |

Anthropic shipped two features together: computer use, which lets Claude point, click, and navigate macOS screens directly, and Dispatch, which enables assigning tasks from your phone and picking up results on desktop. Computer use requires no setup - Claude opens files, runs developer tools, browses the web, and submits pull requests autonomously. It scans for prompt injection, blocks sensitive apps by default, and falls back to screen interaction only when direct integrations like Slack or Google Calendar aren't available. Available now for Pro and Max subscribers as a research preview on macOS. OpenAI's Operator and Google's Project Mariner have been circling the same computer-use space, but Anthropic's approach of combining it with cross-device task dispatch makes the feature feel less like a demo and more like a workflow.

So Claude can now control your entire Mac, dispatch tasks from your phone and it scans for prompt injection by default. Meanwhile OpenClaw is still shipping raw agent power with zero safety rails. Feels like the market is splitting - managed agents vs open agents. Which side are you on?
